ECOBRIX, WOODCRETE ICF TRAINING
TRAINING
FOR SELF-BUILDERS AND CONSTRUCTION PROFESSIONALS
We hold regular EcoBrix (Durisol) ICF training sessions where we’ll show you how to build with this fantastic system. You’ll be able to get hands-on experience and find out the answers to all your queries.
Whether you’re a self-builder or an experienced construction worker, we’ll tailor the course to suit your needs.
We hold training at our Grimsby based depot or, we can also deliver training on-site by special arrangement.
The EcoBrix courses are free of charge with lunch, high visibility vest and gloves provided. Steel toe cap footwear must be worn.
Our training day typically covers the following:
· Introduction to Ecobrix.
· Explanation of Ecobrix PSI values and how it affects your SAP calculations.
· A practical explanation of the different Ecobrix units.
· Practical building with Ecobrix including all openings.
Throughout the day we’ll have a technical expert on hand to answer your queries.

Our EWI training sessions are designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the EWI Pro systems, offering the valuable experience and technical understanding required for installing our systems. The course is aimed at giving an overview and introduction of External Wall Insulation, its benefits and how its installed.
Topics covered are as follows:
- What is external wall insulation iand why is it effectiive?
- EWIPro systems: an overview
- How are the systems installed
- Substrate preparation, pull out tests and priming
- Types of insulation and their corresponding fixings/adhesives
- Preparing to render, basecoat reinforcement layer and priming.
- Rendering: types of render and best practice
This course is available at 2 levels, Beginner and Intermediate/Advanced

Thin coat render Training
Our Thin coat render training course goes into depth on the both products and application. The render training sessions are designed to provide you with a complete understanding of the render systems, offering a hands-on practical experience of installing EWIPro render systems

- What is rendering - EWIPro renders
- Beading: Best practice for reinforcing an installation
- Preparing to render: Types of basecoat, reinforcement layer and priming
- Rendering: Application techniques for finishes
